Uttarakhand is going to host a unique investors’ festival on 7-8 october in dehradun with prime minister himself as the mentor of the event. Ground work seems to have done by the officers concerned pertaining to connectivity, industrial fillip and roadmap to fruitfully promote tourism focusing investors’ interest to boost alround development of the province. Remarkable features of the proposed summit are- integrated representation of the state as the paradise of investors with ongoing facelift of connectivity area and industrial- friendly environment of the state. The special charm of the domain of connectivity is the much awaited Sharanpur expressway which is said to be the golden path between Dehradun and Delhi. It will come up in two years limit reducing the journey to less than 3 hours. No doubt, it will prove to be a milestone paving the way for smooth journey between the two prime destinations. Industrial promotion in the state is gaining momentum day by day by the much discussed “roadshows” campaign launched by the present dispensation to attract investments from all possible quarters which is the judicious step taken forward by the state government. The central government is whole heartdly committed to make the state a comfortable destination for multidimensional investment with much onus on connectivity by road as well as by air. These efforts will give extra-fillip to the mainstream tourism alongwith the pilgramage. The whole team of the Senior IAS officers right from the chief secretery level to secretery level and down to the senior officers of PCS cadre is apparently devoted to streamlining the attempts to bring the state on the top. The peaceful state of Uttarakhand deserves the foremost position in the country regarding industrial promotion. At present, luckily it seems to be taking a shape in the right direction with a devoted team under the chief minister of Uttarakhand and tourism minister of Uttarakhand ably assisted by State Industrial Development Corporationof Uttarakhand (SIDCUL) .
