देहरादून (संवाददाता)। बरसात के दिन जाते ही दून की नदियों में खनन माफिया सक्रिय होने लगे है। देर रात व सुबह पांच बजे से दून की नदियों का खनन माफिया बेतरतीब तरीके से सीना चीर रहे हैं। इससे खनन माफियाओं पर वन विभाग व पुलिस द्वारा शिकंजा कसे जाने की बात हवा-हवाई साबित हो रही है। सुबह पांच बजते ही थाना कैंट की चैकी सर्किट हाउस से मात्र 500 मीटर दूरी पर पडऩे वालै बीरपुर व संतलादेवी क्षेत्र की नदी में अवैध खनन का खेल चालू हो जाता है। बताया जा रहा है कि क्षेत्र में सक्रिय खनन माफिया काफी दंबग है। जिसके खिलाफ पुलिस व वन विभाग कोई कार्यवाही करने से कतरा रहा है। इधर डोईवाला सौंग नदी में पुल के नीचे दिनदहाड़े अवैध खनन को अंजाम दिया जा रहा है। कुछ ऐसा ही हाल माजरीग्रांट, जीवनवाला, फतेहपुर सौंग व थाना कैन्ट जाखन नदी में भी है। लेकिन शासन-प्रशासन व पुलिस अधिकारी इस मामले में आंख मूंदे बैठे हुए हैं। जबकि चंद दिन पहले मुख्य सचिव ने चेतावनी दी थी कि जिसके भी क्षेत्र में खनन की शिकायत मिलती है उस क्षेत्र का उच्च अधिकारी व थाना प्रभारी जवाबदेह होगा पर उनके आदेशों को भी पलीता लगाने का काम किया जा रहा है। खनन माफिया मजदूरों के माध्यम से नदियों में सुबह से लेकर शाम तक यह खनन सामग्री इक_ा कर लेते हैं। उसके बाद रात के अंधेरे में यह माल ऊंचे दामों पर ट्रैक्टर-ट्रॉली के माध्यम से बेच दिया जाता है। बताते चले कि देहरादून व प्रदेश के अन्य क्षेत्रों में धड़ल्ले से चल रहे अवैध खनन पर अंकुश लगाने के लिए प्रमुख सचिव गृह एवं खनन विभाग ने 8 अक्टूबर कड़ा रुख अख्तियार किया था। उन्होंने इस बाबत चार जिलों के डीएम को पत्र भी भेजा गया था। जिसमें साफ कहा गया था कि अवैध खनन पर संबंधित क्षेत्र का प्रभारी व्यक्तिगत रूप में जिम्मेदार माना जाएगा। इसमें किसी प्रकार की ढील बर्दाश्त नहीं की जाएगी।
