बठिंडा । पंजाब के मालवा क्षेत्र को राज्य के कॉटन बेल्ट के तौर पर जाना जाता है। हालांकि, इस इलाके में पराली जलाने की घटनाओं में वृद्धि इस साल दिल्ली-एनसीआर वालों की चिंता जरूर बढ़ा सकती है। 9 नवंबर तक प्रदेश के दूसरे हिस्सों की तुलना में इस क्षेत्र में पराली जलाने की घटनाओं में वृद्धि देखी गई है।

कम नहीं हो रही पराली जलाने की घटनाएं
2016 में पंजाब में पराली जलाने की 70,208 केस हुए थे। तमाम कोशिशों और प्रशासन की सख्ती के बाद पिछले साल पराली जलाने की घटनाओं में कमी देखी गई। 2017 में पराली जलाने के कुल 43,660 केस ही हुए थे जो एक साल पहले के मुकाबले करीब 40 प्रतिशत कम हुए थे। दूसरी तरफ, इस साल 9 नवंबर तक यह आंकड़ा 39,973 तक पहुंच गया है। पिछले साल के कुल पराली जलाने की घटनाओं से यह सिर्फ 3,687 केस ही कम है। अनुमान के अनुसार अभी भी पंजाब में फसल का 20 प्रतिशत से अधिक पराली जलाने का काम बचा हुआ है। इस आधार पर माना जा रहा है कि पिछले साल की तुलना में इस बार पराली जलाने के केस ज्यादा हो सकते हैं।
मालवा में 7 जिले
मालवा में 7 जिले- बठिंडा, मंसा, मुक्तसर, फजिलका, फिरोजपुर, मोगा और फरीदकोट हैं। पिछले साल पूरे प्रदेश में पराली जलाने की घटनाओं में से अकेले इस क्षेत्र में 52.5 फीसदी घटनाएं हुई थीं। इस क्षेत्र में पराली जलाने की संख्या में हुई वृद्धि दिल्ली-एनसीआर की हवा के लिए बहुत परेशान करनेवाली बात है।

दिल्ली की हवा के गुणवत्ता स्तर (एयर च्ॉलिटी इंडेक्स) को शनिवार को एक दिन पहले के 423 की तुलना में 401 रेकॉर्ड किया गया। हवा की गुणवत्ता में सुधार के बाद भी हवा का स्तर खराब की श्रेणी में ही है। हवा का स्तर दिल्ली में बहुत खराब की कैटिगरी में ही रहनेवाला है। औसत पीएम2.5 लेवल की तुलना में 246 माइक्रोग्राम्स पर क्यूबिक मीटर रविवार को कम होकर 222 तक पहुंचने का अनुमान है।
