लखनऊ । छुट्टी के दिन और सड़कों पर वाहनों की कम आवाजाही के बावजूद पूरा यूपी प्रदूषण के कारण हांफता रहा। देश के टॉप-10 सबसे प्रदूषित शहरों में 8 उत्तर प्रदेश के हैं, जबकि कानपुर की हवा देश भर में सबसे जहरीली रही। सेंट्रल पलूशन कंट्रोल बोर्ड के आंकड़ों के मुताबिक कानपुर का एयर चलिटी इंडेक्स 420 पहुंच गया, जो कि बेहद खराब श्रेणी में आता है। कानपुर के अलावा बाकी प्रदेश के बाकी 7 शहर पश्चिमी उत्तर प्रदेश या एनसीआर के हैं।
लखनऊ 323 एक्यूआई के साथ देश का 12वां सबसे प्रदूषित शहर रहा। हालांकि बीते दो दिनों के मुकाबले शहर की हवा का जहरीलापन कुछ कम हुआ लेकिन मौसम वैज्ञानिकों का कहना है कि आने वाले समय में प्रदूषण के कारण हवा की चलिटी में और ज्यादा गिरावट दर्ज होने की आशंका है। एनबीआरआई एनविस सेंटर की को- कोऑर्डिनेटर डॉक्टर बबिता कुमारी का कहना है कि वायु प्रदूषण के बढऩे का सबसे बड़ा कारण इंडस्ट्री से निकलने वाला धुआं हैं।
हालांकि लखनऊ शहर में आस-पास ऐसी कोई बड़ी इंडस्ट्री नहीं है इसलिए यहां की हवा की चलिटी में गिरावट की वजह वाहनों से उड़ता जहरीला धुआं है। बकौल बबिता शहर में चल रहे निर्माण कार्य के दौरान सड़कों पर लगने वाले जाम में वाहनों से निकलने वाली जहरीली गैसें वायुमंडल की सबसे निचली परत में जाकर जमा हो जाती हैं। इसके चलते हवा का घनत्व बढ़ जाता है और उसका वेग कम हो जाता है।
मास्क के साथ नियमों का पालन भी है जरूरी
आमतौर पर हवा की चलिटी में गिरावट होने पर मास्क लगाने की बात कही जाती है। उधर, सेंटर फॉर इन्वाइरनमेंट ऐंड एनर्जी डिवेलपमेंट के प्रॉजेक्ट डायरेक्टर अभिषेक प्रताप कहते हैं कि इसके साथ-साथ वाहनों और निर्माण कार्यों में बनाए गए नियमों का पालन भी होना जरूरी है। उनके मुताबिक सड़कों पर दौड़ रहे डीजल और पेट्रोल से चलने वाले दस साल पुराने वाहनों को चिन्हित कर उन्हें शहर से बाहर किया जाना चाहिए।

उन्होंने बताया कि शहर में मेट्रो के निर्माण कार्य के दौरान काटे गए पेड़ उतनी ज्यादा तादाद में लगाए नहीं गए हैं। पेड़ों की पत्तियां प्रदूषण के साथ-साथ धूल के कणों को भी अवशोषित कर लेती हैं। इसके अलावा किसान अभी भी पराली जला रहे हैं। दीवाली के बाद पटाखों के चलते भी हालात खराब होंगे। उन्होंने बताया कि जैसे-जैसे तापमान कम होता जाएगा वैसे-वैसे हवा के वेग में भी कमी देखी जाएगी और प्रदूषण की स्थिति अनियंत्रित होती जाएगी।
