रुद्रपुर । दो माह पहले हुई शादी की मेहंदी भी नहीं छूटी थी कि पति ने पत्नी का गला दबाकर मार दिया। उसके बाद हत्यारोपी पति ने खुद ही 112 नंबर पर फोन की पुलिस को जानकारी दी फिर खुद ही कोतवाली जा पहुंचा। पुलिस को बताया कि उसने अपनी पत्नी को गला दबा कर मार दिया है। पहले तो पुलिस कर्मियों ने उसे मानसिक बीमार समझा, लेकिन जब घर जाकर देखा तो बीबी की लाश बिस्तर पर पड़ी थी। पुलिस ने आरोपी पति को गिरफ्तार कर लिया है। साथ ही मृतका के सास, ससुर, देवर और दो जेठों के खिलाफ भी केस दर्ज कर लिया है। खेड़ा निवासी फरहा (26) का निकाह 24 अक्टूबर 2020 को भईदपुरा निवासी मशकूर अली के साथ हुआ था। परिजनों का आरोप है कि निकाह के बाद से मशकूर बड़ी कार और पांच लाख रुपये की मांग कर रहा था। दहेज न देने से फरहा के साथ मारपीट की जा रही थी। पीड़िता ने कुछ दिन पहले यह बात अपनी मां को भी बताई थी। गुरुवार सुबह किसी बात पर उसने पत्नी के साथ मारपीट की। और उसका गला व मुंह दबाकर हत्या कर दी।
इसके बाद आरोपी स्वयं रुद्रपुर कोतवाली पहुंच गया, जहां पुलिस ने उसे हिरासत में ले लिया। हत्या का पता चलने पर फरहा के मायके वाले मौके पर पहुंचे। आरोप है कि आरोपी के आठ भाइयों समेत परिजनों ने उनके साथ गाली गलौज और मारपीट की। सूचना पर एसपी सिटी ममता बोहरा पुलिस फोर्स के साथ मौके पर पहुंचीं। पुलिस ने शव कब्जे में लेकर पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भिजवाया। मृतका के पिता रियाजुद्दीन ने कोतवाली में तहरीर देकर पुलिस को बताया कि उनका दामाद मशकूर, सास हसीन बानो, ससुर वाजिद खान, जेठ साजिद खान, इकराम खान व देवर निजाम खान शादी में दिए दहेज से खुश नहीं थे। वे दहेज में छोटी गाड़ी देने का ताना मारते हुए बड़ी गाड़ी और पांच लाख रुपये की मांग कर रहे थे। दामाद को काफी समझाया लेकिन वह नहीं माना। सात दिन पहले उनकी पुत्री फरहा ने बताया था कि दहेज की मांग पूरी नहीं होने पर जान से मारने की धमकी दे रहे हैं। गुरुवार सुबह दामाद के पिता ने फोन पर बताया कि उनकी पुत्र अचेत अवस्था में पड़ी हुई है। जब वह पुत्री के ससुराल पहुंचे तो वह मृत मिली। उन्होंने पति समेत सुसरालियों पर पुत्री की हत्या करने का आरोप लगाते हुए कार्रवाई की मांग की। इधर, एसएसपी डीएस कुंवर ने बताया कि बताया कि मृतका के पिता की तहरीर पर पति, सास-ससुर, देवर और दो जेठों के खिलाफ दहेज हत्या की धारा 304बी आईपीसी की धारा 302 के तहत हत्या का केस दर्ज कर लिया गया है। जिसमें पति को गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया है।
