देहरादून (सू0वि0)। मुख्यमंत्री श्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने गांधी पार्क, देहरादून में शौर्य दिवस के अवसर पर शहीद स्मारक पर पुष्पचक्र अर्पित कर कारगिल शहीदों को श्रद्धांजलि दी। मुख्यमंत्री श्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने कहा कि भारतीय सैनिकों ने कारगिल युद्ध में विपरीत परिस्थितियों में वीरता का परिचय देते हुए घुसपैठियों को सीमा पार खदेड़ा। कारगिल युद्ध में देश की सीमाओं की रक्षा के लिए वीर सैनिकों के बलिदान को राष्ट्र हमेशा याद रखेगा। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि कारगिल युद्ध में बड़ी संख्या में उत्तराखण्ड के सपूतों ने देश की रक्षा के लिए अपने प्राणों की आहूति दी। राज्य सरकार सैनिकों, पूर्व सैनिकों एवं उनके परिजनों के कल्याण के लिए वचनबद्ध है। मुख्यमंत्री श्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने इस अवसर पर घोषणा की कि उत्तराखंड से द्वितीय विश्व युद्ध की वीरांगना एवं वेटरन को अब प्रतिमाह पेंशन 8 हजार रुपए से बढ़ाकर 10 हजार रुपए दी जाएगी। इसका फायदा लगभग 800 परिवारों को मिलेगा। एन.डी.ए , सी.डी.एस एवं उसके समकक्ष लिखित परीक्षा पास करने पर परिवार की आर्थिक स्थिति के आधार पर अभ्यर्थी को साक्षात्कार की तैयारी के लिये 50 हजार रुपए की वित्तीय सहायता दी जाएगी। जल्द ही सैनिकों एवं पूर्व सैनिकों के बच्चों के लिए पढ़ाई हेतु हल्द्वानी में छात्रावास बनाया जाएगा। वीर नारियों एवं वीरता पुरस्कार प्राप्तकर्ता सैनिकों के सम्मान में गढ़वाल एवं कुमाऊं मण्डल में सम्मान समारोह आयोजित किया जाएगा। 01 सितंबर से प्रदेश में सैन्य सम्मान यात्रा शुरू की जाएगी। मुख्यमंत्री श्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने इसके बाद कारगिल शहीद नागा रेजीमेंट के नायक स्व. श्री देवेन्द्र सिंह रावत के कौलागढ़ स्थित आवास जाकर उनके चित्र पर पुष्प अर्पित किये। इस अवसर पर सैनिक कल्याण मंत्री श्री गणेश जोशी, विधायक श्री हरवंश कपूर, श्री खजानदास, मेयर श्री सुनील उनियाल गामा ने भी शहीद स्मारक पर पुष्पचक्र अर्पित कर कारगिल शहीदों को श्रद्धांजलि दी।
