देहरादून (संवाददाता)। रुड़की नगर निगम ने टैक्स वसूली की गति को तेज करने के कार्य शुरू कर दिया है। सिविल लाइंस क्षेत्र के करीब साढ़े पांच सौ व्यावसायिक भवनों से टैक्स की वसूली के लिए बिल बनाने का कार्य ने तेजी पकड़ी हुई है। इससे नगर निगम को करीब डेढ़ करोड़ रुपये का राजस्व मिलने की संभावना है। रुड़की नगर निगम के टैक्स अनुभाग में टैक्स वसूली की गति धीमी होने पर नगर आयुक्त ने नाराजगी जाहिर की थी। नगर आयुक्त ने टैक्स की वसूली की गति को तेज करने के निर्देश भी टैक्स अनुभाग के अधिकारियों को दिए थे। इसके चलते टैक्स विभाग ने कई इलाकों के बकायदारों को नोटिस जारी कर टैक्स जमा करने के निर्देश दिए थे। टैक्स विभाग के कर्मचारियों ने सिविल लाइंस क्षेत्र के व्यावसायिक भवन स्वामियों की सूची तैयार कर ली है। विभागीय लिपिक के अनुसार सिविल लाइंस क्षेत्र में करीब साढ़े पांच सौ व्यावसायिक भवन स्वामियों के स्वकर टैक्स की बिल तैयार किये जा चुके हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि अधिकतर भवन स्वामियों पर दो वर्ष का टैक्स बकाया चल रहा है। जिसके बिल जल्द ही उनको भेज भी दिए जाएंगे। इन साढ़े पांच सौ व्यावसायिक भवनों से करीब डेढ़ करोड़ के राजस्व नगर निगम खाते में आने की उम्मीद है। सिविल लाइंस क्षेत्रों के व्यावसायिक भवनों के बिलों के बनाने और बांटने का कार्य शुरू हो चुका है। सिविल लाइंस में व्यावसायिक भवनों के बिलों से लगभग डेढ़ करोड़ की राशि नगर निगम के खाते में जमा होने की उम्मीद है।
