देहरादून: आलोक कुमार, सचिव, विद्युत मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार ने श्री नन्द लाल शर्मा, अध्यक्ष एवं प्रबंध निदेशक, एसजेवीएन के साथ नेपाल में एसजेवीएन द्वारा निर्मित की जा रही 900 मेगावाट की अरुण-III जलविद्युत परियोजना का दौरा किया। इस दौरे के दौरान, सचिव विद्युत ने अरुण-III परियोजना के विद्युत गृह की द्वितीय इकाई के लिए कंक्रीटिंग संकार्यों का शुभारंभ किया।
आलोक कुमार ने विद्युत गृह स्थल, हेड रेस टनल तथा बांध स्थल पर चल रही निर्माण गतिविधियों में गहरी रुचि दशाई। उन्होंने प्रेरित एवं प्रतिबद्ध एसजेवीएन तथा एसएपीडीसी टीम द्वारा की गई परियोजना की जारी प्रगति पर संतोष व्यक्त किया। उन्होंने कहा कि वित्तीय वर्ष 2023-24 तक परियोजना को कमीशन करना एसजेवीएन की क्षमता वृद्धि यात्रा में एक महत्वपूर्ण माईलस्टोन होगा और यह भारत-नेपाल मित्रता को और मजबूती देगा।
इस अवसर पर, श्री नन्द लाल शर्मा, अध्यक्ष एवं प्रबंध निदेशक, एसजेवीएन ने विद्युत क्षेत्र में एसजेवीएन के योगदान को अंगीकृत करते हुए 900 मेगावाट अरुण-III एचईपी, 669 मेगावाट लोअर अरुण एचईपी और ढलकेबार में संबद्ध सब-स्टेशन सहित नेपाल-भारत सीमा तक 217 कि.मी. 400 केवी डबल सर्किट ट्रांसमिशन लाइन के निष्पादन के लिए कंपनी पर भरोसा करने के लिए भारत सरकार तथा नेपाल सरकार का हार्दिक आभार व्यक्त किया। उन्होंने माननीय केंद्रीय विद्युत मंत्री श्री आर. के. सिंह तथा विद्युत मंत्रालय का निरंतर मार्गदर्शन और समर्थन के लिए भी आभार व्यक्त किया।
शर्मा ने अवगत कराया कि एसजेवीएन भारत-नेपाल जल विद्युत विकास में एक महत्वपूर्ण भागीदार है। परियोजना में निवेश से आधारभूत संरचना एवं सामुदायिक विकास, बेहतर शिक्षा तथा स्वास्थ्य सुविधाएं, रोजगार के अवसर, स्थानीय व्यवसायों को बढ़ावा तथा कौशल विकास को बढ़ावा मिल रहा है। यह परियोजना क्षेत्र के लिए समृद्धि तथा समग्र विकास के युग की शुरूआत करेगी एवं दोनों देशों के मध्य द्विपक्षीय संबंधों को और मजबूत करेगी।
