देहरादून (सूचना विभाग) । मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने रविवार को कनखल में वैश्य बन्धु समाज, मध्य हरिद्वार द्वारा आयोजित महाराजा अग्रसेन वार्षिकोत्सव व पारिवारिक मिलन समारोह में प्रतिभाग किया। 
कार्यक्रम का शुभारम्भ मंत्रोच्चार के बीच दीप प्रज्ज्वलित कर किया गया। मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने वैश्य बंधु समाज द्वारा आयोजित महाराजा अग्रसेन वार्षिकोत्सव की हार्दिक बधाई एवं शुभकामनाएं देते हुये कहा कि महाराजा अग्रसेन जी का जीवन सदैव जनसेवा और सद्कार्यों के लिए समर्पित रहा। उन्होंने सदैव समाज के हित के बारे में सोचा और जनकल्याण के साथ साथ समाज को समृद्ध और खुशहाल बनाने के लिए एक नई सोच विकसित करने का कार्य किया तथा पूरे विश्व को संदेश दिया कि समाज को परस्पर जोड़कर किस प्रकार सभी को समृद्ध और खुशहाल बनाया जा सकता है। उन्होंने कहा कि महाराजा अग्रसेन के जीवन तथा व्यवहारदर्शन में हर समाज के लिए सफलता का मूलमंत्र छिपा है। अग्रवाल समाज का राजाओं के राज में, आजादी के आंदोलन में और आजादी के आंदोलन के बाद लोकतंत्र के विकास में, हर दौर में समाज के लिए महत्वपूर्ण योगदान रहा है तथा आज अग्रवाल समाज हर क्षेत्र में सेवा व समर्पण के साथ कार्य कर रहा है। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि जिस तरह महाराजा अग्रसेन जी ने समाज के हर वर्ग के लिए समर्पण भाव से सोचा, उसी तरह आज प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी भी सबका साथ, सबका विकास, सबका विश्वास और सबका प्रयास की मूल भावना से कार्य करते हुए हर वर्ग के विकास के लिए निरन्तर कार्य कर रहे हैं। 
उन्होंने कहा कि जिस तरह महाराजा अग्रसेन जी ने हर वर्ग के कल्याण का जो सपना देखा था उसे प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी जी के नेतृत्व में हमारी केंद्र व राज्य सरकार मिलकर धरातल पर उतारने हेतु कार्य कर कर रही है तथा देश व प्रदेश के अन्दर एक नई कार्य संस्कृति आई है, जिसके परिणामस्वरूप विश्व में भारत की विश्वसनीयता निरन्तर बढ़ रही है और एक समरस, सशक्त तथा समर्थ भारत बन रहा है। मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने कहा कि भारत की अर्थव्यवस्था अब पांचवें नम्बर की अर्थव्यवस्था बन गयी है तथा आज का नवीन भारत पारम्परिकताओं के साथ ही नये बदलाओं को भी आत्मसात कर रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि आज संपूर्ण विश्व न केवल हमारी शक्ति और ज्ञान परंपरा से परिचित हो रहा है बल्कि प्रत्येक क्षेत्र में हमारा अनुसरण करने को भी तत्पर है। मुख्यमंत्री ने सरकार द्वारा उठाये गये ठोस कदमों का उल्लेख करते हुये कहा कि समान नागरिक संहिता का ड्राफ्ट तैयार है, धर्मान्तरण के सन्दर्भ में भी हमने ठोस कदम उठाये हैं, नकल के लिये भी सख्त कानून बनाया गया है, जिसमें उम्रकैद से लेकर सारी सम्पत्ति जब्त करने की व्यवस्था है तथा इसके अतिरिक्त महिला शक्ति को ३० प्रतिशत क्षैतिज आरक्षण देने का प्राविधान किया गया है।
इस मौके पर देवपुरा चैक स्थित महाराजा अग्रसेन जी की प्रतिमा के शिलान्यास शिलापट्ट का अनावरण भी किया गया। समारोह को राज्य सभा सांसद नरेश बंसल, पूर्व विधायक लक्सर संजय गुप्ता ने भी सम्बोधित किया। इस अवसर पर पूर्व कैबिनेट मंत्री यतीश्वरानन्द, संदीप गोयल, रविदासाचार्य पूर्व विधायक ज्वालापुर सुरेश राठौर, डॉ० विशाल गर्ग, सुधीर अग्रवाल, अरविन्द अग्रवाल, राजीव गुप्ता, लोकेश गुप्ता, मनोज गर्ग, अनुपम अग्रवाल, धीरेन्द्र गुप्ता, डॉ० गौरव गोयल, आदित्य बंसल, शिवम गुप्ता, पराग, सुधीर अग्रवाल, नितिन गोयल, गगन गुप्ता, कमल अग्रवाल, जिलाधिकारी श्री विनय शंकर पाण्डेय, वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधीक्षक अजय सिंह, अपर जिलाधिकारी(वित्त एवं राजस्व) बीर सिंह बुदियाल, अपर जिलाधिकारी(प्रशासन)श्री पी०एल० शाह, एसडीएम पूरण सिंह राणा, सिटी मजिस्ट्रेट सुश्री नूपुर वर्मा सहित सम्बन्धित पदाधिकारी एवं अधिकारीगण उपस्थित थे।
