देहरादून (सूचना विभाग) । मुख्य सचिव डॉ. एस. एस. संधु की अध्यक्षता में राज्य स्तरीय वनाग्नि संकट प्रबंधन सेल की बैठक आयोजित हुई। बैठक के दौरान मुख्य सचिव ने वन विभाग को निर्देश दिए कि फायर अलर्ट पर तुरंत रिस्पांस दिया जाए उन्होंने कहा कि वनाग्नि को रोकने के लिए राज्य स्तरीय वनाग्नि संकट प्रबंधन सेल की बैठक हर वर्ष फरवरी माह में आयोजित कर ली जाए। मुख्य सचिव ने कहा कि जंगलों में लगने वाली आग एक बहुत बड़ा मुद्दा है जिसे बहुत ही गंभीरता से लेने की आवश्यकता है। उन्होंने कहा कि जंगलों में लगी आग को रोकने के लिए स्थानीय लोगों का अधिक से अधिक सहयोग लिया जाए, इसके लिए उन्हें किसी प्रकार का प्रोत्साहन भी दिया जा सकता है। उन्होंने इसमें गैर सरकारी सामाजिक संस्थानों को भी शामिल किए जाने के निर्देश दिए। मुख्य सचिव ने आग बुझाने के लिए प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रमों की आवश्यकता पर बल देते हुए कहा कि वनों में आग लगने के कारणों में पिरुल महत्वपूर्ण है इसके लिए जंगलों से पिरूल के निस्तारण पर विशेष ध्यान देने की आवश्यकता है। उन्होंने पिरुल से पैलेट्स तैयार कर खाना बनाने के ईंधन के रूप में प्रयोग करने को बढ़ावा दिए जाने की बात कही। उन्होंने कहा कि आमजन इसका प्रयोग कर सकें इसके लिए अधिक से अधिक उद्यमियों को इसके पैलेट्स तैयार किए जाने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करना होगा, ताकि पिरुल के पैलेट्स की उपलब्धता सालभर रहे। साथ ही मिड डे मील में बनने वाले भोजन के लिए इसे चूल्हे के ईंधन के तौर पर इसके उपयोग को बढ़ावा दिया जाए। इस अवसर पर प्रमुख सचिव आर के सुधांशु, वन विभाग प्रमुख (हॉफ) अनूप मलिक एवं सचिव विजय कुमार यादव सहित अन्य उच्चाधिकारी उपस्थित थे।
