हरिद्वार (संवाददाता)। हरिद्वार वन प्रभाग और राजाजी टाइगर रिजर्व पार्क के जंगलों में हाथियों की गणना शनिवार से शुरू हो गई है। यह गणना सोमवार शाम तक चलेगी। पहले दिन 12 हाथी दिखाई दिये है। गिनती के दौरान नर व मादा के अनुपात पर भी खास फोकस रखा जा रहा है। छह जून से उत्तराखंड के जंगलों में गजराज को तलाशने का काम शुरू हो गया है। वन प्रभाग और राजाजी पार्क के अलावा कई अन्य डिवीजन में बीट के हिसाब से हाथियों की गणना में विभाग जुट गया है। सोमवार की सुबह छह बजे हरिद्वार वन प्रभाग और राजाजी टाइगर रिवर्ज पार्क के कर्मचारी गणना में निकल गए। पहले दिन सुबह 6 से 11 बजे और दोपहर बाद 3 से शाम 7 बजे तक हाथियों की गणना की गई। बीट इंचार्ज, वन दरोगा, संविदा कर्मी से लेकर फायरमैन शनिवार को जंगलों में निकल पड़े। राजाजी टाइगर रिजर्व पार्क में कई जगह पहले दिन हाथी दिखाई दिए। करीब 12 जगह हाथी दिखाई दिये। जेंडर का अनुपात रखता है मायनेपिछली गणना पर एक नर पर ढाई मादा का रेश्यू तक सामने आया था। जो कि मानक के हिसाब से बेहतर था। हाथियों के संरक्षण में नर-मादा लिंगानुपात काफी अहम भूमिका निभाता है। महकमे को पूरी उम्मीद है कि बाघों की तर्ज पर उत्तराखंड में हाथियों की संख्या में भी वृद्धि होगी। गिनती पूरी होने के बाद महकमा डाटा जारी करेगा।मल से नहीं आंखों देखी होगी गणनाहाथियों की गणना पहले मल विधि से होती थी। मल का घनत्व निकाला जाता था। माना जाता है कि हाथी दिन में करीब 15 बार मल त्याग करता है। साथ ही 20 किमी से ज्यादा अपना ठिकाना भी बदल लेता है। लेकिन इस प्रत्यक्ष को प्रमाण का मुख्य आधार मानते हुए विभाग ने आदेश जारी किये हैं कि हाथियों की गणना आंखों देखी से होगी। जो हाथी दिखाई देगा, उसको ही गिनती में शामिल किया जाएगा। इसके लिए नीचे से लेकर ऊपर तक के कर्मचारियों को निर्देश जारी किये हैं। 2015 में हुई थी गणना पांच साल बाद प्रदेश में हाथियों की गिनती हो रही है। 2015 में कुल 1779 हाथी मिले थे। यह गणना मल के आधार पर हुई थी। शनिवार को प्रशिक्षण ले चुके वनकर्मियों को भेजा गया है। वर्जनगणना शुरू हो गई है। सुबह ही टीमों को भेज दिया गया है। 8 जून के बाद हाथियों का डाटा जारी किया जाएगा। नीरज वर्मा, डीएफओ, हरिद्वार वन प्रभागपहले दिन कई हाथी दिखाई दिए हैं। राजाजी पार्क का छोटे से लेकर बड़ा कर्मचारी गणना के लिए निकल चुका है। दिन में दो समय में गणना की जा रही है। कोमल सिहं, वार्डन, राजाजी टाइगर रिजर्व पार्क
