देहरादून (सू0वि0)। मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने बुधवार को मुख्यमंत्री आवास में आबू धाबी में आयोजित पांचवी एशियन जु-जित्सु चैंपियनशिप, पदक विजेता उत्तराखंड के जु-जित्सु खिलाड़ियों को सम्मानित किया। मुख्यमंत्री ने आगामी एशियन इंडोर एंड मार्शल आर्ट गेम्स तथा वर्ल्ड जु-जित्सु चैंपियनशिप के लिए खिलाड़ियों को शुभकामनाएं दी। उन्होंने कहा कि खिलाड़ियों ने पदक तालिका में स्थान पाकर पूरे प्रदेश को गौरवान्वित किया। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि खिलाड़ियों को हर संभव सुविधा मिल सके इसके लिए राज्य में नई खेल नीति बनाई जा रही है।
जु-जित्सु एसोसिएशन ऑफ इंडिया के महासचिव श्री विनय कुमार जोशी ने बताया कि 13 से 16 सितंबर 2021 तक आबू धाबी में आयोजित हुई पांचवी एशियन जु-जित्सु मार्शल आर्ट चैंपियनशिप में भारत से 38 सदस्यों के दल ने देश का प्रतिनिधित्व किया। जिसमें उत्तराखण्ड के छह खिलाडिय़ों ने शानदार प्रदर्शन करते हुए कुल 06 पदक हांसिल किये। जिसमें 02 रजत पदक एवं 04 कांस्य पदक शामिल हैं। इस जु-जित्सु मार्शल आर्ट चैंपियनशिप में भारत ने आठवां स्थान प्राप्त किया। उत्तराखण्ड से शिवानी गुप्ता, नव्या पाण्डे, मंदीप कौर एवं मुकेश कुमार ने विभिन्न भार वर्गों में पदक हांसिल किये। सभी विजेता खिलाड़ियों ने वर्ष 2021 में ओलंपिक काउंसिल ऑफ एशिया के नेतृत्व में थाईलैंड चोंगबुरी में आयोजित होने वाली एशियन इंडोर एंड मार्शल आर्ट्स गेम्स 2022 के लिए अपना स्थान पक्का किया।
