ऋषिकेश। क्षेत्रीय विधायक व मंत्री डॉ प्रेमचंद अग्रवाल ने तीर्थ नगरी में खुली शराब की डिपार्टमेंटल स्टोर को लेकर मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी से मुलाकात की। उन्होंने जन भावना व तीर्थ नगरी की धार्मिकता बनाए रखने हेतु शराब के डिपार्टमेंटल स्टोर को बंद करने का आग्रह किया। जिस पर मुख्यमंत्री धामी ने सचिव शैलेश बगोली को मामले की जानकारी जुटाकर सकारात्मक कार्रवाई करने के निर्देश दिए। डॉ अग्रवाल ने कहा की ऋषिकेश की पहचान तीर्थ नगरी, संत नगरी और योग नगरी के रूप में विश्व भर में की जाती है। उन्होंने कहा कि देश ही नहीं विदेशों से भी यहां तीर्थ यात्रा के लिए श्रद्धालु बड़ी संख्या में पहुंचते हैं।
डॉ अग्रवाल ने कहा कि संत नगरी होने के नाते यहां साधु संतों का निवास स्थल है जो धर्म की ध्वजा को आगे बढ़ाने का काम कर रहे हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि योग नगरी होने के चलते यहां युवाओं का जमघाट योग की विभिन्न मुद्राओं के प्रशिक्षण के लिए लगा रहता है।
डॉ अग्रवाल ने मुख्यमंत्री धामी को बताया कि ऋषिकेश एक शांतप्रिय स्थल है। ऐसे में यहां शराब की डिपार्टमेंटल स्टोर का खुलना इसके अस्तित्व को कमजोर करने जैसा है। इन दुकानों के खुलने से श्रद्धालुओं और संत समाज में गलत संदेश जा रहा है।
डॉ अग्रवाल ने धामी को अवगत कराया कि इन शराब के डिपार्टमेंटल स्टोर के खुलने से लगातार तीर्थ नगरी की जनता में रोष है। जहां महिलाएं इसका पुरजोर विरोध कर रहे हैं तो वहीं युवा और संत समाज भी इसके पक्ष में नहीं है।
डॉ अग्रवाल ने मुख्यमंत्री धामी से दुकानों को बंद करने पर विचार करने का आग्रह किया। इस पर मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने जन भावना व लगातार हो रहे विरोध को लेकर सचिव शैलेश बगोली को संपूर्ण जानकारी लेकर सकारात्मक कार्रवाई करने के निर्देश दिए।
