Lincoln’s letter to son’s teacher “the poetic-code” of humanity
(February 12, 1809 to April 15, 1865)

Sublime and serene small lake of glimmering water
mirrors almost all high and mighty peaks of your sound character
frisky foam of clouds keep floating about
offering continually rich tribute for your high-heroic deeds
supreme-sacrifice you did to keep the Union intact
resourceful was your large heart with human values infact
your nerves were of steel determined upon “tit for tat”
skilled oratory love for poetry farsighted statesmanship with visionary impact
your letter to son’s teacher is the lake which magnificently preserves memories
blissfully, milk of humanity flowed through your veins and arteries.
Tornadoes of pro-slavery confederation when rushed to tear up the Union
you diffused the monstrous storms with patriotic-zeal and universal resolve
from meagre origin, challenging homefront odds, you became an epitome
embracing, honesty, justice, kindness, patriotism, diligence and immense patience
you loved reading parables, writing poems eventually knitting the Union
bloodiest civil war became history you became an open master-mystery
you knew the soul of primary education and nature’s self-manifestation
shocking was your assassination at the golden threshold to second-duration
pro-genuine democracy generations of America and all world over
ought to hold out homage to ‘Lincoln Tomb’
holy resting place of the pioneering crusader who broke the backbone of slavery.
