देहरादून । उत्तराखंड पुलिस हमेशा ही ‘मित्र पुलिस’ के रूप में जानी जाती है और इसी छवि को बरक़रार रखने के लिए समय-समय पर लोगों को पुलिस से जोड़ने के लिए बेहतरीन विकल्प और मौके मुहैया कराती है। साल 2016 में उत्तराखंड पुलिस द्वारा ड्रग्स एवं भ्रष्टाचार जैसे मुद्दे को लेकर हाफ मैराथन का सफल आयोजन किया गया था जिसमें हज़ारो की संख्या में आम लोगो ने भाग लिया था। इसी तर्ज़ पर पुलिस ने इस साल भी सभी की शारीरिक स्वस्थता और पुलिस को जनता से जोड़ने के सम्बन्ध में जागरूकता पैदा करने के लिए हाफ मैराथन आजोयित की है। इस बार की थीम सड़क सुरक्षा एवं महिला सुरक्षा रखा गया है, जिससे जुड़ी सड़क सुरक्षा सेमिनार व महिला सशक्तिकरण कार्यशाला नवंबर माह में सेन्ट जोसफ स्कूल सहित पुलिस लाइन में आयोजित करायी गयी थी। शुक्रवार सुबह पुलिस मुख्यालय देहरादून में मैराथन सम्बंधित आयोजित प्रेस वार्ता में एडीजी अशोक कुमार में बताया की हर साल सड़क दुर्घटना में डेढ़ लाख लोग अपना जीवन गवां देते है जिससे उनके परिवार और समाज को भी इससे क्षति पहुँचती है इसलिए प्रत्येक नागरिक का कर्त्तव्य है की वह यातायात के नियमो का पालन करे और साथ ही साथ दूसरों को भी इसे पालन करने के लिए जागरूक करे । उन्होंने आगे कहा कि प्रदेश भारतीय संविधान में महिलाओं को सामान अधिकार प्राप्त है और एक राष्ट्र तभी उन्नति कर सकता है अगर वहां की महिलाएं अपने आपको सुरक्षित महसूस करे , यह दोनों ही समाज के मुख्य बिंदु है इसलिए इन दो मुद्दों को इस बार हाफ मैराथन की थीम के रूप में चुना गया है। पुलिस आंकड़ों के अनुसार 17 दिसंबर को होने वाली हाफ मैराथन में 26 राज्यों के कुल बीस हज़ार प्रतियोगी भाग ले रहे है जिसमे पुरुष, महिलाओं समेत 4000 स्कूली छात्र भी सम्मिलित हो रहे है। इस मैराथन की खास बात यह भी है की इसमें 11 विदेशियों ने भी अपना रजिस्ट्रेशन किया है जिसमे से 7 केन्या, 3 इथोपिया, व 1 अमेरिका से है जिससे इसका स्तर अंतर्राष्ट्रीय हो गया है। हाफ मैराथन में 21 किमी व 7 किमी की दौड़ रखी गयी है। जहाँ 21 किमी में दो श्रेणियां (ओपन व मास्टर्स 45+) वही 7 किमी में तीन श्रेणियां(जूनियर,ओपन ओ मास्टर्स) रखी गयी है। दोनों ही दौड़ो पुलिस लाइन रेसकोर्स से शुरू होकर अपने अपने निर्धारित मार्ग की ओर चलेंगी जिसकी रवानगी पुलिस महानिदेशक अनिल कुमार रतूड़ी करेंगे जिसका पुरस्कार वितरण मुख्य अतिथि मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेन्द्र सिंह रावत के द्वारा किया जायेगा। मैराथन का लाइव प्रसारण पुलिस द्वारा सोशल मीडिया साइट्स फेसबुक व ट्विटर पर भी किया जायेगा।
मैराथन रूट
21 किमी: पुलिस लाइन से शुरू होकर ई. सी. रोड, राजपुर रोड, कैनाल रोड, काठ बंगला होते हुए वापिस आयोजन स्थल पर समाप्त होगी।
*7 किमी:* पुलिस लाइन रेसकोर्स से शुरू होकर ई. सी. रोड , सर्वे चौक होते हुए वापिस आयोजन स्थल पर समाप्त होगी।
सभी विक्रमों व इस दौरान राजपुर रोड का यातायात आरटीओ तिराहे के ऊपर से सुचारू रूप से चलेगा।
