हरिद्वार, 5 जून। विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस के अवसर पर शांतिकुंज में श्रीरामपुरम् क्षेत्र में गायत्री परिवार प्रमुख श्रद्धेय डॉ. प्रणव पण्ड्या, व्यवस्थापक श्री गौरीशंकर शर्मा एवं वरिष्ठ कार्यकर्त्ताओं ने मौलश्री का पौधे रोपे। यूं तो शांतिकुंज देश एवं विदेश में स्थित करोड़ों गायत्री परिजनों को साथ लेकर पर्यावरण संरक्षण की दिशा में भी महत्वपूर्ण अभियान चला रही है। जल संरक्षण एवं शुद्धि के लिये भागीरथी जलाभिषेक अभियान है, तो वहीं पर्यावरण संरक्षण हेतु वृक्षगंगा अभियान। विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस के मौके पर शांतिकुंज के मुख्य सभागार में आयोजित संगोष्ठी की अध्यक्षता करते हुए अखिल विश्व गायत्री परिवार प्रमुख श्रद्धेय डॉ. प्रणव पण्ड्या ने कहा कि गायत्री परिवार का वृक्षगंगा अभियान एक अनूठा अभियान है। यह सिर्फ पेड़ लगाने का अभियान मात्र नहीं है वरन् पर्यावरण के हितैषी वृक्ष लगाना एवं उनका पूरा संरक्षण इसकी विशेषता है। इसमें जन-जन की भागीदारी होनी चाहिए। उन्होंने कहा कि युगऋषि पं. श्रीराम शर्मा आचार्य की जन्म शताब्दी वर्ष 2011 से प्रारंभ होकर अब तक एक करोड़ से ज्यादा पौधे रोपे जा चुके हैं और यह क्रम आगे भी निरंतर जारी रहेगा। रचनात्मक प्रकोष्ठ के प्रभारी श्री केदार प्रसाद दुबे के अनुसार पर्यावरण संरक्षण की दिशा में एक नया प्रयोग आरंभ किया गया, जिसके अंतर्गत गांवों के आसपास वीरान पड़ी छोटी-छोटी पहाड़ियों को गोद लेकर उनको हरा किया जाता है। इसके अंतर्गत अब तक सौ से अधिक पहाड़ियों को हरा-भरा किया जा चुका है। उन्होंने बताया कि पं बंगाल, छत्तीसगढ़, मप्र, गुजरात, महाराष्ट्र, उत्तर प्रदेश एवं अन्य कई राज्यों में वृक्षगंगा अभियान के अंतर्गत श्रीराम स्मृति उपवन स्थापित किये गये हैं। इस अवसर पर गायत्री परिवार प्रमुख डॉ प्रणव पण्ड्या आदि वरिष्ठ कार्यकर्त्ताओं ने पौधे रोपे। उद्यान प्रभारी श्री सुधीर भारद्वाज के अनुसार शांतिकुंज के वरिष्ठ कार्यकर्त्ताओं ने मौलश्री आदि के पौधे रोपे।
