देहरादून । मुख्य सचिव ओमप्रकाश की अध्यक्षता में बुधवार को सचिवालय में सौंग बाँध पेयजल योजना के सम्बन्ध में उच्च अधिकार प्राप्त समिति की बैठक सम्पन्न हुयी। बैठक के दौरान सौंग बाँध परियोजना के निर्माण हेतु मालदेवता-हिलांसवाली रगड़गांव घुत्तु सड़क, जो वर्तमान में अस्थाई खण्ड लो.नि.वि. ऋषिकेश द्वारा लगभग 07 कि.मी. निर्मित है, को सिंचाई विभाग को हस्तांतरित किए जाने हेतु स्वीकृति प्रदान की गयी। बैठक के दौरान सौंग बाँध पेयजल परियोजना के पुनर्वास एवं पुनर्व्यवस्थापन हेतु नीति का ड्राफ्ट भी प्रस्तुत किया गया।
बैठक में बताया गया कि सौंग बाँध पेयजल परियोजना, सौंग नदी पर मालदेवता से 10 कि.मी. अपस्ट्रीम में सौंदणा गांव में प्रस्तावित है। परियोजना की प्रस्तावित लागत 1580 करोड़ है। सौंग बाँध की ऊँचाई 130.60 मी. एवं लम्बाई 225 मी. होगी। इससे निर्मित होने वाली झील की लम्बाई 3.5 कि.मी. तथा धारण क्षमता 264 लाख घनमीटर होगी। सौंग बाँध पेयजल परियोजना से देहरादून नगर की 10 लाख की जनसंख्या को वर्ष 2051 तक 150 एमएलडी पेयजल आपूर्ति सुनिश्चित हो सकेगी। परियोजना से पेयजल आपूर्ति के बाद भूजल दोहन में कमी आएगी, जिसके फलस्वरूप नलकूपों के निर्माण, अनुरक्षण एवं संचालन में कमी के साथ ही इनके संचालन में विद्युत व्यय में भी कमी आएगी। बताया गया कि परियोजना के निर्माण से कुल 275 परिवार एवं 10.641 हैक्टेयर भूमि प्रभावित होगी। मुख्य सचिव ने निर्देश दिए कि पुनर्वास नीति में परियोजना से प्रभावित परिवारों को बेहतर जीवन स्तर उपलब्ध कराने हेतु प्रयास किए जाएं। उन्होंने कहा कि देहरादूनवासियों को इस योजना का लाभ ससमय मिल सके इसके लिए परियोजना को धरातल पर लाने हेतु शीघ्र-अतिशीघ्र प्रयास किए जाएं। निर्माण कार्यों की गुणवत्ता पर भी विशेष ध्यान दिया जाए। इस अवसर पर सचिव नितेश झा, सौजन्या एवं सुशील कुमार सहित अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारी उपस्थित थे।
