उत्तराखंड में कोरोना संक्रमण को देखते हुए केदारनाथ और बदरीनाथ धाम की यात्रा अभी 30 जून तक शुरू नहीं की जाएगी। सोमवार को रुद्रप्रयाग और चमोली में डीएम के साथ हुई हक-हकूकधारियों, व्यापार संघ व होटल व्यवसायियों की बैठक में सर्वसम्मति से ये फैसला लिया गया।केदार सभा के अध्यक्ष विनोद शुल्का के अनुसार अब बाबा केदार के धाम में 30 जून तक आम श्रद्धालु नहीं जा सकेंगे। चमोली की जिलाधिकारी स्वाति एस भदौरिया ने बताया कि 30 जून तक किसी को भी बदरीनाथ धाम के दर्शन की अनुमति नहीं दी जाएगी। जिला सभागार में हुई बैठक में होटल व्यवसायियों ने एक दिन के लिए होटल व रेस्टोरेंटों की साफ-सफाई करने के लिए बदरीनाथ जाने का प्रस्ताव रखा, जिस पर जिलाधिकारी स्वाति एस भदौरिया ने उन्हें एक दिन के लिए धाम जाने की अनुमति दे दी है।इसके लिए संबंधित व्यवसायियों को जोशीमठ एसडीएम से अनुमति लेनी जरूरी है। निर्णय लिया गया कि ३० जून तक बदरीनाथ मंदिर का सिंहद्वार नहीं खोला जाएगा और किसी को भी मंदिर में दर्शन की अनुमति नहीं दी जाएगी। हालांकि मंदिर में पूर्व की भांति पूजा-अर्चना विधिवत रुप से चलती रहेगी। इस मौके पर पुलिस अधीक्षक यशवंत सिंह चौहान, बदरीनाथ के धर्माधिकारी भुवन चंद्र उनियाल, डिमरी पंचायत के प्रवक्ता पंकज डिमरी, एसडीएम अनिल चन्याल आदि मौजूद थे।
