रुडकी (संवाददाता)। पुलिस ने बिना सत्यापन के किरायेदार रखने वाले मकान स्वामियों पर एक लाख से अधिक का जुर्माना लगाया। अभियान में सौ से अधिक किरायेदारों के सत्यापन किए गए। अभियान के दौरान क्षेत्रवासियों में अफरातफरी का माहौल बना रहा।शहर में हुई आपराधिक वारदातों में अधिकतर बाहरी लोगों की भूमिका सामने आई है। चोरी, लूट, हत्या, छीनाझपटी में बाहरी राज्यों के लोगों की गिरफ्तारी हुई है। वहीं पुलिस को भी क्षेत्रों में संदिग्धों के घूमने की सूचनाएं मिलती रहती हैं। हाल ही में प्रधान हत्याकांड में शामिल एक आरोपी बिना सत्यापन के रामपुर क्षेत्र में रहता मिला था। गंगनहर पुलिस ने मकान स्वामी पर दस हजार का जुर्माना लगाया था। संदिग्धों और बढ़ती घटनाओं पर रोक लगाने और सुरक्षा व्यवस्था बनाए रखने के लिए पुलिस ने सत्यापन अभियान चलाया। रविवार सुबह पुलिस ने इमली रोड, भारतनगर, माहिग्रान और मच्छी मोहल्लों में अभियान चलाया। पुलिस ने अलसुबह ही क्षेत्रवासियों का दरवाजा खटखटा दिया। पुलिस को सुबह सवेरे ही दरवाजे पर देखकर क्षेत्रवासी चौंक उठे। पुलिस ने मकान स्वामियों से किरायेदारों के संबंध में जानकारी जुटाई। इस बीच पुलिस को दस से अधिक मकानों में बिना सत्यापन के किरायेदार रहते मिले। वहीं पुलिस ने सौ से अधिक किरायेदारों का सत्यापन किया। इंस्पेक्टर अमरजीत सिंह ने बताया कि 11 मकान स्वामियों पर एक लाख दस हजार रुपये का जुर्माना लगाया है। जिन मकान स्वामियों पर जुर्माना लगाया गया है उन्होंने किरायेदारों का सत्यापन नहीं कराया था। अभियान में 135 किरायेदारों का सत्यापन किया गया है।
