पिथौरागढ़ (संवाददाता)। मुनस्यारी में पुलिस के निवनिर्वाचित जिपं सदस्य जगत मर्तोलिया के नेतृत्व में जनाक्रोश सड़कों पर फूटा।नाराज विभिन्न संगठनों के लोगों ने उग्र प्रदर्शन कर थाने के घेराव का प्रयास किया। पुलिस ने किसी तरह उग्र भीड़ को बैरिकेटिंग कर रोका। इसके बाद लोगों ने सड़क पर ही धरना शुरू कर दिया। विधायक हरीश धामी ने कहा जब तक दोषी पुलिस कर्मियों को अपने किए की सजा नहीं मिलती वे शांत नहीं बैठेंगे। मंगलवार को गुस्साए लोग नवनिर्वाचित जिपं सदस्य मर्तोलिया के साथ थाने का घेराव करने पहुंचे। इस दौरान विधायक हरीश धामी भी प्रदर्शन में शामिल रहे। पुलिस ने थाने पहुंचने से पहले ही बैरिकेटिंग लगाकर लोगों को अंदर आने से रोक दिया। इसके बाद आक्रोशित लोग सड़क पर ही धरने पर बैठ गए। जिपं सदस्य मर्तोलिया ने कहा पुलिस को किसी भी व्यक्ति की बेरहमी से पिटाई करने का अधिकार नहीं है। अकारण व्यापारी को पीटकर अस्पताल पहुंचाया गया है। कहा जिस तरह कानून तोडऩे वाले लोगों को सजा मिलती है, कानून अपने हाथ में लेने वाले पुलिस कर्मियों को भी सजा मिलनी चाहिए। लोगों ने कहा थानाध्यक्ष को बदलकर पुलिस विभाग अपने कर्मचारियों की गलती पर पर्दा डालने की कोशिश कर रहा है, जिसे किसी भी कीमत में बर्दाश्त नहीं किया जाएगा। इस दौरान लोगों ने पुलिस, प्रशासन के खिलाफ जमकर नारे लगाए। चेतावनी देते हुए कहा शीघ्र दोषी पुलिसकर्मियों के खिलाफ मुकदमा दर्ज नहीं किया गया तो चुप नहीं बैठेंगे।
