बागेश्वर (संवाददाता)। मई माह की गर्मी का असर अब दिखने लगा है। जिले में नगर से लेकर ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों तक पेजयल संकट गहरा गया है। खरही मंडल के लिए बनी पंपिंग योजना से क्षमता से कम पानी की आपूर्ति हो रही है। 1500 की आबादी पेयजल संकट से जूझने को मजबूर है। ग्रामीणों ने विभाग, शासन और प्रशासन को इसके लिए जिम्मेदार बताया। उन्होंने जल्द पानी की आपूर्ति सुचारू नहीं होने पर आंदोलन करने की चेतावनी दी है। खरही मंडल के लिए वर्ष 1970-71 में बिलौना से पंपिंग योजना बनी थी। जिसका एक पंप रैखोली में भी बनाया गया है। वर्तमान में क्षेत्र के लोगों को क्षमता के अनुरूप पानी नहीं मिल पा रहा है। ग्रामीणों ने बताया कि रैखोली तक पानी आ रहा है। उसके आगे को पौंन से एक इंच पानी की सप्लाई हो रही है। जिससे सिमस्यारी, सरना, ओढ़ लोहार, बुगाड़ी, लोब, कांडा सहित दर्जनों गांवों में पेयजल संकट है। लोगों को पीने के लिए कई किमी दूर से पानी ढोकर लाना पड़ रहा है। सुबह से शाम तक परिवार के सदस्य पानी के लिए मारामारी करते दिख रहे हैं। ग्रामीण हरीश सिंह, मोहन सिंह, जीवन सिंह, नवल भट्ट, कुंदन सिंह, प्रमोद सिंह आदि ने बताया कि रैखोली में लगा पंप खराब है। वह पानी का लोड नहीं उठा पा रहा है। जिसके चलते रैखोली से अन्य गांवों के लिए पानी की सप्लाई नहीं हो रही है। विभाग को कई बार सूचित करने पर भी सुध नहीं ली जा रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि जल्द जल संकट का समाधान नहीं हुआ तो उग्र आंदोलन होगा।
